About B&G Sports
B&G Sports Memorabilia was incorporated in 2004; however, its owners Pete & Theresa Ausiello have been around the Sports Collectibles industry for more than 19 years.
In a story line right out of the movie Jerry McGuire, Pete & Theresa signed Jerome Bettis to an exclusive agreement during the downside of Bettis’ career and with him coming off an injury plagued season before. They approached more than 10 companies, a few big names, regarding splitting this deal from the beginning and had no takers. One of the best decisions they made as a company was to save most of the signings they had till the latter part of their deal.
The 2006 Steelers Season was one for the ages and B&G’s exclusive client turned out to be the face of the Super Bowl and garnered National attention from fans/collectors alike. His market value has increased by 250% since their first deal and they have sold more than 20,000 signatures since Super Bowl XL. Last September Jerome made the decision to extend his contract with B&G another 6 years taking them past his likely Hall of Fame induction in 2012.
In March 2007, B&G entered into an exclusive memorabilia contract with 2 Time All American Paul Posluszny. Paul’s first ever appearance at the Galleria Mall in York, PA drew more than 1500 people and was an outstanding event.
In October 2007, B&G decided to expand its company by taking on a partner, Joe Coppola, buying out another company, Global Sports Memorabilia. In addition, B&G added Scott Cummings, formerly of ENV Collectibles and Diane Rotendelli, formerly of United Way. Scott is heading our Wholesale/Drop Ship ventures and Diane will be running our Charitable Auctions division.
On January 26, 2008, B&G opened a Retail Store location in Brick, NJ and had Joe Morris, Joe Klecko, Frank Edgar and Paul Posluszny on hand for the Grand Opening.
B&G has just signed an Exclusive Memorabilia Contract with NY Giants Super Bowl XLII Champion COREY WEBSTER. Corey will be making his first post Super Bowl appearance at B&G’s retail store on Saturday March 8, 2008.
Future 2008 Events include March 15th in Chantilly, VA, April 4-6 in Edison, NJ and August 1-2 in Chicago, IL. B&G also has YANKEES LEGENDS Bucky Dent & Mike Torrez (June 14th) and Graig Nettles (June 28th) appearing at their store.
